Advice for between tests
This guidance is for NTA clients to follow between scheduled tests. It does not replace medical advice.
I’m having acute symptoms that I’ve experienced previously; can I take the remedy that worked for this before?
Yes you can, as long as it’s a remedy from your homeopathy first aid kit, or your last report says you can use it if needed.
I think a new remedy I have started in the last week is making my symptoms worse, what should I do?
If a newly introduced remedy worsens symptoms, stop it for three days and then retry. If symptoms worsen again, discontinue until your next retest.
Old Symptoms Returning
The return of old symptoms can occur during treatment and is often temporary. If symptoms are severe or worrying, seek medical advice.
I’m having acute symptoms that I haven’t had before. What should I do?
In the first instance you should select a remedy from your first aid kit, by using the instructions in the booklet and try that.
Ainsworth Pharmacy also has a Remedy Selector tool which is very good and helps you choose a first aid remedy, or you could call either Ainsworth’s or Helios pharmacies and ask for advice.
If Symptoms Do Not Improve
If the first aid remedies don’t give you relief you can get individualised advice from a homeopath through the Homeopathy247 service, or from either Helios or Ainsworth homeopathic pharmacies.
Alternatively, you can book a phone / video call with Sonia (from £30), or submit a Treatment Review Request (written, no call, from £30), or you can book / bring forward your retest for sooner than planned. Ongoing email support is not included in our service.
Homeopathy is not instead of Accident and Emergency Care:
If you need emergency health care please contact your doctor or emergency services.
Homeopathic remedies
To be ready for all eventualities we recommend that people buy a homeopathic kit. This can be bought from Native Wisdom where their basic kit is £29.95 plus postage for 18 basic remedies. They also sell a homeopathic pet kit.
We recommend the website below for advice on minor illnesses, travel and first aid. If you have a remedy kit then you can self prescribe quite easily: www.remedyseeker.com
