Do not eat, drink, smoke or chew gum within the 30mins before collecting the saliva sample.
Collect saliva from inside the cheek using the swab provided.Put the swab end in the glass sample bottle, snap off the other end of the swab and tightly screw the cap on. Make sure the swab looks wet to provide a good sample. You must take the sample and post it on the same day for it to be viable for testing.
Write the sample provider’s name and the date they took the sample on the bottle’s sticker.
Take your hair sample. We only need 3 or 4 strands of hair from the head or body. It is better if the hair is cut near the root if this is possible. Place the hairs into a small bag and seal. It is better not to take the sample too soon after exercise.
Send saliva samples to us in a padded envelope with the signed form and using the address sticker provided and a first class, large letter stamp. We request that you post your sample first class, from the post office and obtain a receipt. If your sample is lost or damaged in transit, we will require your post office receipt before dispatching a replacement kit and rebooking the test for ASAP free of charge. You may prefer to use special delivery to ensure its safe and prompt arrival. There is no need to email us requesting confirmation that we have received the sample as we will be in touch if there are any issues.
